Rep. Bert Reeves
District 34

A recently approved constitutional amendment allows the Georgia General Assembly, with a two-thirds vote, to dedicate the revenue from certain taxes and fees for specific purposes or funds. This bill would make changes to existing provisions in law where the General Assembly intended to earmark revenue for a specific purpose. The bill would establish separate trust funds in the state treasury and require appropriation to each of the following:

  • The Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund;
  • The Solid Waste Trust Fund;
  • The Hazardous Waste Trust Fund;
  • The State Children’s Trust Fund;
  • The Wildlife Endowment Trust Fund;
  • The Trauma Care Network Trust Fund (Previously the Georgia Trauma Trust Fund);
  • The Transportation Trust Fund;
  • The Georgia Agricultural Trust Fund;
  • The Fireworks Trust Fund; and
  • The Georgia Transit Trust Fund.
