GMA has recently become aware of multiple scam emails attempting to mislead our members and exhibitors. Two of these scams have falsely offered hotel reservations for our 2025 Annual Convention in Savannah, while another has attempted to sell access to a list of convention attendees. These emails are not from GMA, nor are they authorized by us in any way.
We want to remind everyone that:
- GMA does not use third-party companies to manage hotel bookings. Official hotel reservation details will only be available when convention registration opens in late March.
- GMA does not sell attendee lists. If you receive an email offering such a list, it is fraudulent.
If you receive a suspicious email:
- Do not respond or click on any links.
- Delete it from your inbox and trash folder.
- If you have engaged with the email, notify your IT team immediately.
We have reported these scams to law enforcement and appreciate your vigilance.
