Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG)

Posted: January 7, 2025

Deadline: February 1, 2025

Grantor: Georgia Department of Transportation

Additional Information

The Georgia Department of Transportation developed the Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) program in cooperation with ACCG, GMA, and others to provide funding to local governments for local road projects. The LMIG program allows local governments greater flexibility and quicker project delivery while allowing GDOT to effectively administer the program with a reduced workforce and new funding match requirements.

The annual LMIG allocation is based on the total centerline road miles for each local road system and the total population of each county or city as compared with the total statewide centerline road miles and total statewide population. View FY 25 LMIG Formula Amounts
