The National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP), a collaborative initiative between the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Library of Congress, seeks to enhance access to historically significant newspapers published between 1690 and 1963. The program aims to build a comprehensive, searchable digital resource that will be permanently maintained and freely accessible online via the Chronicling America website. The NDNP also includes the US Newspaper Directory, which provides bibliographic and holdings information to direct users to newspaper titles in various formats.
