The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) will bring nearly $1.2 trillion in total funding over ten years, including $550 billion in new spending from 2022-2026. New funding will be available to make transformative investments in transportation, high-speed internet, water, energy, and resilient infrastructure. A portion of funds will be made available to states through block grants, and the legislation also includes funds for a wide range of competitive grant programs. In all, there are more than 375 programs included in the BIL.
