2019 Rural Broadband Summit

GMA, in partnership with NTIA, held the 2nd Annual Georgia Rural Broadband Summit on October 2, 2019 in Warner Robins. Over 100 local officials attended this event to learn from experts and peers about a variety of approaches underway in Georgia to address rural communities’ broadband needs. The program also included information about Smart Cities Planning and Smart City Uses, as well as how to access federal agency resources for technical assistance and infrastructure.

Presentation I: The Importance of Broadband Service to Rural Georgia
In the first presentation of GMA's 2019 Rural Broadband Summit, Larry Hanson, Executive Director of the Georgia Municipal Association provides the opening remarks, followed by a presentation from U.S. Congressman Austin Scott, who represents Georgia's 8th congressional district.
