GMA WCSIF is a group self-insurance program authorized by the State of Georgia and administered by GMA. The program was created in 1982 to offer workers’ compensation coverage to local government entities and provide an alternative to commercial markets.

Policy direction and oversight for GMA WCSIF is provided by a 15-member Board of Trustees comprised of elected and appointed officials.

Safety Liability Grant Program

Every year, our Safety and Liability Management Grant Program provides funds through a first come first served grant process. We designed this non-matching grant program with the primary goal of helping you pay for the training, equipment, and services you need to increase employee safety and reduce claims.

Loss Control Services

Local Risk Management Services, a joint program of the self-insurance funds of the Georgia Municipal Association and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG), provides tailored risk management services, including health promotion and loss control, to enhance safety and well-being for local governments.
