Serve on the GMA Board

The GMA Bylaws state that the Officers of the Association include a president, first, second, and third vice president, the immediate past president, and the Executive Director.

The Board of Directors consists of:

    • All Officers of the Association
    • Past presidents who are active elected officials of a GMA member city
    • District Officers in designated Board positions (see District Officer section)
    • Fourteen directors elected at-large from the state
    • Highest-ranking officer of the Georgia City-County Management Association who serves in a GMA member city
    • President of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association
    • President of the GMA City Attorneys Section
    • Chairperson of the Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit System
    • Chairperson of the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute
    • Chairpersons of the standing Policy Committees established by the Board
