The Dacula City Council recently approved a request by William H. Mobley Estates for the annexation of 34.14 acres, rezoning and variances to allow for the construction of 49 single-family homes off Drowning Creek Road.
The donation presented by Donald P. Burke, CFO of Beaver Paper, provides the city with washable and reusable masks that will help protect city employees from the spread of the novel coronavirus as they return to work. The masks will also be available for city hall visitors
According to city documents, Dacula’s mayor and council “have carried out a deliberate strategy over the last several years to keep city taxes low without negatively impacting the quality of the city services provided to its citizens.”
Dacula has resumed city operations. The city’s municipal court will resume in-person hearings at 1:30 p.m. June 16.
