Strategic Materials

Strategic Materials is North America’s largest glass recycler, with nearly 50 locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Strategic Materials has been recycling glass for over 120 years. We have two facilities in Georgia, where we support end markets with recycled content for new container glass manufacturing (bottle to bottle) and fiberglass insulation – also operating in Georgia. The use of recycled glass in manufacturing results in energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions. Glass has value and does not belong in the landfill. Georgia’s demand for recycled glass exceeds current supply. We recycle a variety of glass including soda lime, borosilicate, plate, windshield and more. Mixed color and broken glass are accepted.
