HB 1018, Protects Owners and Retailers of Firearms Against Discriminatory Practices by Financial Institutions

This bill makes it unlawful for financial institutions to refuse to provide financial services of any kind or discriminate against a person or trade association solely because such person or trade association is engaged in the lawful commerce of firearms or ammunition products. Second, this bill also makes it unlawful for financial institutions to require the usage of a firearm code that distinguishes a firearms retailer that is physically located in Georgia from general merchandise retailers or sporting goods retailers.
