House Bill 36 changes the language required to be included in notices of current assessment for ad valorem taxaton of property. The notices of current assesment will include an option to appeal to a hearing officer with appeal to the suprior court. The bill allows the property owner to appeal the amount in the ad valorem tax bill over any parcel with a fair market value in excess of $500,000, one or more account numbers of wireless property with an aggregate fair market value in excess of $500,000, or one or more account numbers of tangible personal property with an aggregate fair market value in excess of $200,000.

The bill would become effective on January 1, 2024.
