This bill would allow cities and counties to levy an excise tax on the sale of tickets for stadiums, amphitheaters, or other venues in their jurisdictions with capacities of 9,500 or more. The proceeds from the excise tax will be used by the local governemnt for either capitla outlay projects consisting of the consstruction of public safety facilities, or the maintenacne and operation expenses or security and public safety expenses assocaited with the capital outlay projects.
