Stockbridge City Clerk Vanessa Holiday was recognized as the 2024 Clerk of the Year by the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association at the Georgia Municipal Association annual convention in Savannah on Monday, June 24.
For the past 12 years, Vanessa Holiday has been a pillar of dedication and service as the city clerk in Stockbridge.
“Vanessa has shown a great deal of drive, professionalism, and service during her time as a municipal clerk,” said Deborah Walker-Reed, president of GMCA. “We are proud to have Vanessa represent clerks across the state as the 2024 Clerk of the Year. It is so deserving!”
Holiday has served others with compassion and leadership as a clerk as well as with several community organizations throughout the city of Stockbridge and the Henry County area. “Vanessa is extremely proficient in handling her daily duties and is worthy of this recognition. Because of her commitment to excellence, she enhances the experience of her team, elected officials, residents, and the association,” said Walker-Reed.
Holiday’s commitment to professional development is evident in her qualifications. She is a Georgia Certified Clerk, an International Institute of Certified Municipal Clerk, and a member ofthe GCMA. She has also completed the Master Education Management Development Program from the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government and Human Resources Administration Certification from the Georgia Municipal Association.
