The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta) has allocated $5 million through its 2024 Heirs' Property Family Wealth Protection Fund (FWP). This fund supports community organizations, tribal entities, governments, and municipalities in addressing heirs’ property issues in low-to-moderate income areas within FHLBank Atlanta's district, which includes Alabama, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Grants of up to $500,000 are available for projects that assist property owners facing legal or financial challenges related to heirs' property.
Grant Funding: Up to $500,000 is available for eligible organizations.
Eligible Regions: The district includes Alabama, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Applications will be accepted beginning October 1, 2024, with the deadline on October 31, 2024.
