This bill would revise the provisions allowing a city to contract with the county and county tax commissioner for the collection of municipal taxes and fees. The bill would limit the personal compensation a tax commissioner may receive for contracting to collect municipal taxes and fees. Under this bill, a county tax commissioner may not receive more than the equivalent of 50% of their minimum statutory in the aggregate for the collection of municipal taxes and fees.
