HB 1382, Training Requirements of Development Authority Leadership

This bill would require each Director or member of a governing board or body of a development authority, to complete four hours of continuing training courses on on development and redevelopment programs each year. The continuing education courses required in this legislation shall become a prerequisite for an authority to access funding from or administered by the OneGeorgia Authority. 

*** In a Senate State and Local Government Operations Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 22, language from HB 1301 - LEAF Act, was subbed into HB 1382. HB 1301 preempts local government in their regulation of gas-powered leaf blowers. ***
